We're not asking God for revival, we're living in the middle of one.

God has been changing lives for over 12 years now at TheBOD.  It’s because of your faithfulness to serve, love, pray and give you helped to make an eternal difference in the lives of others in 2019 and we’re looking forward to what he will do in the next decade. You played a role in every hand that was raised and every story that was changed.

hands went up to receive Christ

Behind every hand that is raised is a story of someone’s life that is changed.  That person matters to us and they matter to God.

Stories Matter

We’re committed to sharing the stories God is telling through others at TheBOD.
Here are a few that we’ve had the honor of being a part of in 2019.
The church is not a building, it’s the people.  Each week we gather to worship, celebrate, and serve God.  We’ve found purpose behind our passion and want to help everyone become the person God created them to be.

walked through the doors each week.

It’s one of the most meaningful steps we can experience as a follower of Christ – letting the world know of our decision to follow him.  That’s why we make a big deal about it. Check out a couple of the stories of life change below.

people went public with their faith through Baptism

Every Sunday lives are changed, friendships are forged, marriages are strengthened, families are encouraged, and people are empowered to lead. At TheBOD, It’s our volunteers who allow themselves to be used by God that make the difference. One of the best ways to meet people, develop relationships, and grow as a follower of Christ is to serve the local church. We like to say there’s nothing more fun than serving God with people you love.

We Reimagined LifeKids

We want to capture every child’s imagination so that God can grab their hearts. In 2019, thanks to your faithful giving, we raised $35,000 to complete a renovation of our LifeKids area including an easier to use Guest Services center, new wall-length Bible App for Kids story art in each classroom, and an epic climbing wall in our Konnect room.

Your Church on Mission

Church Planting

The local church is the hope of the world. We are committed to helping plant and launch Open Network churches whose mission it is to reach others with the good news of Christ. This year we we’re a part of helping launch a brand new network church just an hour away in Tahlequah, OK. Meeting on the Northeastern State University campus, over 330 people attended TahlequahRoots.church on launch weekend.

Relief and Restoration

Beyond what happens in our personal lives and church experiences, sharing the love of Christ means bringing help and hope to people in need. We partner with community organizations, local churches, and focus on opportunities that span the globe.

In February, TheBOD joined with other local churches and gave

to help launch Care Portal in Sequoyah County. Care Portal is a nationwide network that connects local churches to foster care and adoptive family needs through local DHS workers.

This Spring the River Valley overcame one of the most devastating natural disasters in its history. TheBOD responded
by giving over

to provide every Moffett teacher with supplies and books for their classrooms, finish the restoration of three preschool classrooms, and restore homes and businesses affected during the flood.

.This Spring, we awarded the first of our four community service scholarships. We awarded

to Andrew Winstersteen a Roland graduate, who will be completing his service project this Summer by putting a fresh face on the Roland High School hallways.

When we see people as God does, full of gifts resources and potential, change can happen. This Fall, we awarded a

grant to Riverview Hope Campus in Fort Smith. They provide comprehensive services to help people find a way out of homelessness.

When people find hope they can break old patterns. Our newest local partner, Living Waters Transitional home, helps people leaving addiction to take their first steps back into society. This December, TheBOD was pleased to award them with a

grant to help complete updates on their facility.

Digital Missions

Every week God is changing lives. Every hand that is raised, every story shared, every baptism celebrated is a result of God using people in their local campus and community through their giving to impact lives all across the globe.  We partner with Life.Church digital missions to maximize every dollar we give toward this effort.

We’re making 2020 our most generous year yet!

Because we’ve seen all that God has done, we know this is just the beginning. What part will you play in the next decade? Generosity isn’t just something we do it’s a part of who we are at TheBOD. If you’re ready to see how God wants to use your generosity, tithing is a great first step.  It’s the beginning place of Christian generosity. You give above and beyond an offering, to help expand existing ministries and spaces to reach more people through Campus Development, launch churches in new communities through Spaces & Places, or invest in people in your community and around the world with a gift to Relief & Restoration.
